2Confirm the action (Set / Add / Subtract) and quantities

4Verify the result in Shopify admin → Products → Inventory
Commit inventory update?
Your inventory will be updated in Shopify. It can't be undone.
⚠There is no undo for inventory writes. Undo only applies to SKU/barcode generation batches (covered next) — not to scans.

🖨Download PDF prints on any printer. Generate ZPL / Print drives thermal printers (Dymo, Brother, Zebra) directly — set up next.
Section 4
Printers & Calibration
Direct thermal printing uses QZ Tray, a small free helper on your computer
1Install QZ Tray on the computer connected to the printer
2On the Printers page, click Detect printers to register what's connected
3Calibrate: download the calibration sheet, print it at 100% (don't scale to fit), and measure the printed rectangle
4Enter the measured width, height, and offsets, then Save calibration
✅Calibration aligns the print so barcodes land crisp and scannable every time. No thermal printer? Download PDF and print on any printer instead.

Section 8
Frequently Asked Questions
What scanners work?
Any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner that types into a field (keyboard-wedge), or your device camera in the Shopify mobile app.
Does scanning change my real Shopify inventory?
Yes. When you click Commit Inventory Update it writes to the chosen location in Shopify. It can't be undone, so review first.
Can I undo a scan?
No — committed inventory changes are final. Undo applies only to SKU/barcode generation batches, not to scans.
What printers are supported?
Any printer via Download PDF; thermal printers (Dymo, Brother, Zebra) print directly via ZPL using QZ Tray.
Section 8
More Questions
How do the SKU and barcode generators work?
Define a rule, check the live preview, then generate for every variant missing a value or only the ones you select. Each run is a batch you can undo.
What barcode types can a label show?
1D: Code 128/39/93, EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF-14, Codabar. 2D: Data Matrix and QR codes.
What's the difference between plans?
All features are on every plan. Higher tiers raise products-per-scan (30 / 1,000 / 2,000) and add automatic saving of scan progress.
Where do I find past label prints?
Open Barcode Labels → History for generation batches and print jobs with their statuses.
Section 8
Troubleshooting Issues
Scanner isn't adding rows
Click the barcode field first so it's focused, switch to Hardware Scanner mode, and make sure your scanner sends an Enter after each code.
Camera won't open
Camera scanning works best in the Shopify mobile app; desktop browsers often block it. On desktop, use Hardware Scanner instead.
Inventory didn't update
Confirm you clicked Commit Inventory Update, picked the right location, and that the variant is stocked at that location in Shopify.
"Limit reached" while scanning
You've hit your plan's products-per-scan cap. Upgrade on the Billing page to raise it.
Direct print does nothing
Install QZ Tray, click Detect printers, and calibrate. Otherwise use Download PDF on any printer.
Section 8
Setup Checklist
1Choose a plan on the Billing page
2Open Settings and pick what shows on scanned rows
3Run your first scan: New scan → location → Set/Add/Subtract → scan → Commit
4Create a label template from a preset and design it
