Section 1
What Auto Restock Scheduler Does
Set inventory changes to happen automatically — on the day and time you choose, repeating as often as you need
📅
Scheduled Updates
Run inventory changes daily, weekly, or monthly — or as a one-time event at a future date and time.
📦
Set or Adjust Stock
Set quantities to an exact number, or adjust up/down by a delta — per product and per location.
🔄
More Than Inventory
Activate or deactivate products, and turn "continue selling when out of stock" on or off — on a schedule.
📊
Full Audit Trail
Every run is logged with status, duration, and the exact change made to each product.
💡All changes are written straight to your Shopify inventory through the official Admin API — no spreadsheets, no manual edits.
Section 1 (continued)
Key Concepts
ASchedule — a saved automation rule. It holds a list of products, a target location, a restock rule, and a date/time to run.
BRestock rule (action) — what happens when the schedule runs: set quantity, adjust quantity, activate/deactivate products, or toggle "continue selling".
CRepeat interval — how often it runs: don't repeat (one-time), or every N days / weeks / months.
DLocation — the Shopify warehouse/location the inventory change applies to (for inventory rules).
ERun — a single execution of a schedule, automatic or manual. Each run produces a log entry.
▶The navigation menu has five sections: Schedules, Products, Run History, Settings, and App subscription.

💡The helper text previews the result: "Will set quantity to: 100 units" for the Set rule, or "After adjustment: 150 units" for the Adjust rule. Available stock is color-coded (green > 10, amber < 10, red = 0).
⚠For the Set rule with quantity 0, a "Stop selling when out of stock" checkbox appears so you can close the variant when it hits zero.

The Restock rule dropdown groups six actions into three categories
📐

➖➕
Adjust quantity by X
Adds or subtracts a delta from current stock (use negatives to reduce). Per-product values. Can repeat
✅
Activate products
Changes product status from Draft to Active. No location or quantity needed. One-time
📄
Deactivate products
Sets products to Draft (hides them from the storefront). One-time
🔓
Turn ON "Continue selling"
Allows the variant to keep selling when out of stock (oversell). One-time
🔒
Turn OFF "Continue selling"
Stops the variant selling once it hits zero. One-time
Section 4 (continued)
How Rules Behave
1Inventory rules (Set / Adjust) require a location, a per-product quantity, and a restock reason, and they can repeat.
2Status rules (Activate / Deactivate) and selling-policy rules (Continue selling on/off) need no quantity or location, and run one-time only — the repeat options are hidden.
3The Restock reason (Restock, Correction, Return, etc.) is recorded in Shopify's inventory history, so your audit trail stays accurate.
4Switching the rule updates the rest of the form automatically — fields that don't apply disappear.
💡Use Set for "always top up to this level" and Adjust for "add this many each cycle." Combine a Deactivate one-time schedule with a future Activate to plan product launches.

Schedule saved successfully.
A Save / Discard bar appears at the bottom of the screen whenever you have unsaved changes.
▶Run Now executes the schedule immediately (with a confirmation). Disabled while saving, when there are unsaved changes, or when inactive.
⏸Activate / Deactivate pauses or resumes the schedule without deleting it.
🗑Delete removes the schedule permanently (with confirmation) — it can't be undone.
Section 5 (continued)
Safeguards & Confirmations
Are you sure to run this schedule right now?
Your inventory will be updated in Shopify, it can't be undone.
1The contextual save bar blocks accidental navigation while you have unsaved edits — use Save to commit or Discard to revert.
2Run Now, Delete, and Remove product each ask for confirmation before acting.
3Required fields are validated on save — e.g. "Title is required" or "Select at least one product" — shown inline in red.
⚠A manual Run Now applies the change to live Shopify inventory exactly like a scheduled run — and is logged in Run History the same way.

Section 9 (continued)
When You Hit a Limit
1Active-schedule limit: on the Free plan you can have 2 active schedules. Beyond that, Create new schedule is blocked with a prompt to upgrade.
2Product-variant limit: the product picker stops you adding more variants than your plan allows and shows how many of the limit you've used.
3Repeat frequency: daily repeats require Professional or Plus. The Free plan offers weekly and monthly.
4Free up slots by deactivating schedules you don't currently need — only active schedules count toward the limit.
💡Upgrading is instant — once your new plan is active, the higher limits apply immediately and the create button unlocks.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q
What's the difference between "Set" and "Adjust"? Set writes an exact number (e.g. always bring stock to 100). Adjust adds or subtracts a delta from whatever the current quantity is (e.g. +50 each week). Use negative values with Adjust to decrease stock.
Q
When exactly does a schedule run? At the date and time you set, in your detected timezone. If it repeats, the next run is calculated as that time plus your interval (e.g. + 1 week). One-time schedules run once and then stop.
Q
Can I test a schedule without waiting? Yes — open the schedule and tap Run Now. It applies the change immediately to live Shopify inventory and creates a Run History entry, just like a scheduled run.
Q
Do inactive schedules still run? No. Only ACTIVE schedules execute. Deactivate a schedule to pause it without losing its configuration — and to free an active-schedule slot.
FAQ (continued)
Troubleshooting Issues
Q
A run shows an "error" status. Open the run in Run History to read the full error message. Common causes: a product or variant was deleted, the location was removed, or the variant isn't stocked at that location. Fix the product/location and run again.
Q
I can't create another schedule. You've reached your plan's active-schedule limit. Deactivate one you don't need, or upgrade via App subscription. Only active schedules count toward the limit.
Q
The product picker won't let me add more items. You've hit your plan's product-variant limit. Remove some variants, split products across multiple schedules, or upgrade for a higher limit.
Q
My custom fields don't show on products. Go to Settings → Metafield Display Settings and tick the metafields you want, then Save. If none are listed, create the metafields in your Shopify admin first.
